Con te partirò sung by Andrea Bocelli, composed by Francesco Sartori and Lucio Quarantotto

Also known as Time to Say Goodbye (the version featuring Sarah Brightman). I’m a pretty emotional person, but I don’t usually show it. This song makes me feel raw though and listening to it I think I could cry at any moment.

How can they fit this into New Moon? In a movie score, I’d expect this song to be played in a scene that makes me cry.

Tim.Chris.Film - Hecq Vs Exillion - Spheres Of Fury

Strange beyond strange. Deliciously artsy. I like.

EDIT: Oh, so apparently this is a music video. Go figure.

Paper Planes by The Da Vincis
originally by M.I.A.

Ok, I already know what you’re thinking… another Paper Planes cover? I know… I know. (Hey, at least it isn’t MGMT or Kings of Leon, right?) But this one is really, really great. These three 17 year old kids from Jackson, Mississippi really get music. It’s catchy, it’s pretty funny, and I’m pretty sure you’ll dig it even if you hate the original. By the way, they’re releasing their debut LP, See You Tonight on Tuesday.

This is really cute and artsy and smiley.

MGMT - Electric Feel

This video is so hypersexual. It’s just trippy beyond “That’s drug induced” or even “wtf?” I mean, there’s a point in this video (not sure if it was the animated bear, the moon bleeding rainbow slime, or the flying motorcycles for me) when it just sheds any pretext of humanly definable normalcy.

I love it.

Get Over It - Ok Go

You may remember Ok Go as the group with the extremely well-choreographed music video, complete with treadmills, an aluminum-foil backdrop, and four guys who dressed really weird.

In the midst of writing their third album, The Influence of the Blue Ray of the Sunlight and of the Blue Color of the Sky (working title: “of the Blue Color of the Sky”), Ok Go’s fame has dwindled in recent years, but that doesn’t stop one from appreciating their older work.

Get Over It”, the single from their debut self-titled album, is a blend of Ok Go’s best elements: A catchy stomp/clap hook, energetic and assertive vocals, complete with an outrageously chic video.

Nice!

I need to get this album!

Zzzzz - The Cab

Independent record label Fueled By Ramen has a lot of great groups, though mostly nobody I know likes any of them except for her. The Cab is different from its “emo” labelmates in that it specializes in feel-good pop rock, being a nice change from the cryptic lyrics of Fall Out Boy and the hustler touch of Cobra Starship.

This song is from their first album, Whisper War. They have a new EP out, but in my opinion, it isn’t as good…

Anyways, I wrote this post in a grand total of a minute, so yes, my writing sucks, but so do you. :0

Fantastica. Some of Max’s music that I actually like. Also, sweet album cover:

I Will Follow You Into the Dark by Death Cab for Cutie

Have you ever heard people talk about a song that’s so amazing, but you never got the chance to listen to it? And then after you hear it somewhere in a movie or on a show, you realize you’ve been missing out on a whole lot? Well, that was the case for me when I watched “The Invisible” =) I realized how wonderful this DEATH CAB song is and I wanted to hit myself for not listening to it sooner!!

P.S. The guy in that movie is soooo cute!
