Bright and Vivid by Kathryn Calder is streaming on NPR; it drops on October 25. (Amazon link)
This album is indeed both bright and vivid. It is delight embodied. If her name sounds familiar to you, it’s because Kathryn Calder is a member of The New Pornographers. This album is proof that she is a masteful musician. It is fuzzy and hazy, but fuzzy and hazy in the brightest way. The shadow of swaying tree leaves against your wall on a sunny day. I suggest giving it a listen.
P.S. Did you notice that the things in the background of the photo are mouths? I didn’t see them for a long time.
blog comments powered by DisqusOh, I'm Alec. I'm in high school and I live in Seattle (win!). I pretty much have a lot of love in my heart, except not in a corny way right? Anyways, please enjoy all of this. Also you can drop me a line if that does anything for ya.
